- Progressive Party:
Saturday, June 7, 2003 - Barclay Park homeowners hosted a "Progressive Party." This
festive event brought homeowners together as they enjoyed appetizers (hosted by Cherie Freed), a
main course featuring shish-ka-bobs (hosted by Shelly Staat), and dessert (hosted by Norma Simons).
A special thanks goes out to Jill Schmieg for coordinating the events for the evening with the
hostess for each "progression" of the party! And, a special thanks to Biltmore for
sponsoring the cost of the delicious chicken & steak shish-ka-bobs!
- Tailgate Party:
Saturday, November 15, 2003 - Barclay Park celebrated a "Tailgate Party" in the clubhouse.
Fans cheered on the Michigan Wolverines in their 41-10 defeat over the Northwestern Wildcats.
Halftime featured grilled steak, burgers, hot dogs, brats, and favorite recipes prepared by
homeowners to share with the group. A special thanks goes out to Ann Luke and Jill Schmieg for
coordinating this event. And, a special thanks to Biltmore for sponsoring the grilled items for
everyone to enjoy during the game.

- Game Night:
Saturday, March 20. 2004 - Barclay Park celebrated a "Game Night" in the clubhouse. The
event kicked off with pizza, subs, and other snacks in the midst of March Madness on the big-screen
TV, followed by a fun-filled evening of Euchre and other board games. A special thanks goes out to
Rochelle Noel, Jill Schmieg, and Seraphin Tam for coordinating the event and door prizes. A special
thanks also goes out to Biltmore for sponsoring this event that brought homeowners and their guests
together for another community activity!
- Progressive Party:
Saturday, June 26, 2004 - Barclay Park homeowners gathered for the 2nd Annual "Progressive
Party." Once again, homeowners enjoyed an evening of food and fun beginning with appetizers
(hosted by Nick Lewis) followed by steak & chicken entrees along with favorite dessert recipes
(hosted by Jill Schmieg). A special thanks goes out to Bruce Building Company for sponsoring the
cost of the main course again this year!

- Spring Clean Up:
Saturday, May 14, 2005 - Barclay Park homeowners gathered at the clubhouse to kick off the 1st
Annual Spring Clean Up. Coordinated by Randi Hoffmann and Jenn Ashcraft, this successful event saved
an estimated $2k in Association resources. Homeowners spent a quick couple of hours scattered
throughout the community, then gathered for sandwiches and refreshments immediately afterwards.
- International Food Fest:
Sunday, June 19, 2005 - Barclay Park homeowners enjoyed a savory experience with an international
flair representative of some of the tastes, roots, and routes of community residents. Coordinated by
Nabiha Megateli-Das, this new event was a tasty hit!
- Fall Flower Planting:
Saturday, October 1, 2005. Homeowners gathered to enhance and liven up the community's landscaping,
giving an outstanding new look to the entrance island & Phase 1 brick paver circle! Colleen
Flynn coordinated this great event, which introduced assorted new plants and shrubs to the
community.
